Chirag Bakshi – CEO

Zumigo was founded by Chirag Bakshi, a veteran of the mobile industry and Silicon Valley, and previously Vice President & General Manager of the VeriSign Mobile Messaging business.  Chirag joined VeriSign through their acquisition of Unimobile, where he was COO and a Founder. He helped the company build a world-class scalable and robust Wireless Platform driving significant revenue for Mobile Operators and Enterprises. Chirag also served as a General Manager at EFI where he established a very successful Network Graphics Server Business Unit , Director at Apple for their LaserWriter line of products and in Engineering at Rolm Corp developing distributed PBX switch software. Additionally, Chirag served on the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) Board and Wireless Internet Caucus (WIC) Leadership Council. He has his B-Tech degree from IIT Bombay, and M.S. degrees from Stanford and the University of Michigan. He holds several patents in software and mobile technologies. Chirag has assembled a team of mobile engineers and product professionals who have collectively launched some of North America’s most broadly deployed mobile technologies prior to joining forces at Zumigo.

Partha Roy Chowdhury – Vice President of Engineering

Partha is a co-founder of Zumigo and brings over 15 years of experience developing mobile technology platforms. Most recently he was a Director of Engineering at Salesforce.com. Prior to that, Partha worked as Director of Engineering at Syniverse and VeriSign, where he held Engineering responsibilities for the SMS Aggregation and Inter-carrier MMS business. While at VeriSign, he was a key member in launching inter-carrier MMS service in North America and Brazil. He shepherded the IC-MMS platform from its infancy to currently handling more than 90% of North America’s inter-carrier traffic. He holds patents in mobile space and likes to tinker with new ideas and technologies. Partha has a BS in Electronics Engineering from NIT Allahabad, India.

David Pinski – Vice President of Product Management

David brings with him twenty years of product and software management to Zumigo. For most of the past twelve years, he has managed technical teams at banks including MBNA (acquired by Bank of America), ING Direct and Capital One. While at ING Direct, he directed the development of many systems, including security and fraud mitigation, and also served as the head of system architecture. During this time, David filed twelve patents (two awarded, ten pending) covering fraud systems, payment systems, and mobile interfaces. David also served as an Advisor to Silver Tail Systems, a leading fraud mitigation software company, prior to their acquisition by RSA (a division of EMC). Prior to his banking experience, he managed products for Bentley Systems, a leading design software firm, and Primavera Systems (now a division of Oracle), a leading project management software company. David holds a B.A. in Political Science from Case Western Reserve University.

Jong Lee – Vice President of Business Development and Sales

Jong is an experienced business development and sales executive with expertise in both application and infrastructure services in the internet and telecom industries. Jong’s most recent position was with BroadSoft driving revenue for their Unified Communication Cloud Services/(SaaS), where he launched the initial offerings to more than 10 service providers globally. Prior to BroadSoft, Jong was at Telcordia Technologies as Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Alliances in the Interconnection Solutions Division, where he was responsible for leading the sales team to deliver a suite of interconnection solutions as well as new service offerings for mobile and next-generation networks worldwide. Prior to Telcordia, Jong was at VeriSign where he had various roles from international business development to corporate business development. Prior to VeriSign, Jong was responsible for developing the Asia Pacific markets at Iridium. Jong holds a B.A. in Economics from Christopher Newport University.

Susan Mason
Susan is a co-founding partner of Aligned Partners, an early-stage venture fund focused on the highly capital-efficient companies made possible by mobile and cloud computing. Founded by experienced investors with deep venture and operating backgrounds, Aligned Partners helps founders maximize traction while minimizing capital intake. By starting lean and staying lean, founders and investors alike see better returns on their time and money. Aligned Partners is based in Menlo Park, California.

Keith Angelo
Keith provides Executive Consulting services in the PC and Mobile graphics industry.  Keith started his career at Intel in Product Management.  He then held various Management, General Management and Corporate positions at semiconductor pioneer Chips and Technologies which was subsequently acquired by Intel in 1998. During his second Intel sojourn, he worked as a Director at Intel Capital, where he was involved in various Intel investments, acquisitions and mergers before embarking as an independent consultant.  Keith has an MSEE from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
