- We are looking for a Software Engineer to help build scalable backend systems, APIs, and fraud intelligence capabilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Build backend services and APIs supporting identity verification and fraud workflows
- Develop scalable distributed services used by enterprise customers
- Work with cloud-native infrastructure and large-scale datasets
- Build APIs exposing fraud risk and identity intelligence signals
- Work with behavioral telemetry and real-time fraud indicators
- Support AI-driven scoring and decisioning workflows
- Collaborate with data teams to integrate intelligent risk models
- Contribute to platform performance, reliability, and monitoring
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams
- Support integrations with third-party identity and telecom providers
- Learn and contribute to AI-enabled fraud detection workflows
Required Skills:
- 2-5 years of backend software engineering experience
- Strong Java development experience
- Experience building REST APIs
- Familiarity with Play Framework and Akka or similar backend frameworks
- Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or SQL
- Familiarity with AWS or cloud platforms
- Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes or clustered/containerized deployments
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interface with partners and customers
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Nice to Have:
- Python exposure or willingness to work with Python
- Event driven architecture or messaging systems
- AI or machine learning integration exposure
- Experience in fraud, identity verification, fintech, cybersecurity, or telecom domains
